Digital Art

I started drawing when I was two. Now it is a daily passion.  I moved through paper and pencil to then digital works, and ever since have tried numerous styles from the art that I admire. In traditional art I usually use pencils, ink pens (ranging from regular Sharpies to Prismacolor brands), and occasionally colored pencils.

DRAWING

Digital art is made through digital programs and tools–like pen and tablet (i.e. Wacome) and Adobe Photoshop. I picked up digital art only recently, and still consider myself in experimental stages.

This piece was requested by my teacher under the prompt of 'Raised by Wolves'. It was meant to be a logo and design, used as a transparency.

The desired effect was to depict a face looking through intertwined bodies of wolves, as if inversly both being part of the pack, and yet also seeing in a perspective of human eyes.

None of the perspectives are supposed to be taken literally, as it was only a design. References were used for the different wolf heads.

Honors English Debate, 10th Grade

"Love"

This was drawn for my English Honors 10 Debate, under the theme of 'Love'. The assignment was to create an artpiece theming 'love' using strictly digital art (as I was arguing on the 'Affirmative'/'Pro-technology' team).

A nymph-like woman and a river-bound man are depicted smiling at each other, with their affections still breeching the differences between their kind. The setting is alluded to be Mythological/GrecoRoman, with the garb of the woman and the fantasy-like features of both lovers.

Truthworthiness
This was a submission to my school's 'Character Pillar' contest. The theme was to design a poster depicting the character pillar of trustworthiness. Though it didn't win, it was a huge experimental piece for my style.

Two students are shown shaking hands, with a quote that defines the meaning of trustworthiness. The desired impact was to show cooperation and trust between two people, with a bridge of a developing relationship under their two feet (as people build 'bridges of trust').

The artistic challenge came in depicting the message as a poster–I attempted a 'flatstyle', which meant lines were erased and only colors of shapes were shown.

As a developing artist, I always attempt new styles. Below are more examples of my digital pieces, some of which are still WIP (works in progress) and others which are complete. They show a lot of experimentation with tools, colors and depictions.
